Hello & WelcomeSuccess in leading learning and sustaining transformation and innovation of classroom practice is built on the foundation of positive, ongoing partnerships with teachers and leaders. Working in schools for the past 10 years I have seen and experienced for myself, the fly-in/fly-out nature of workshops for teachers too often focus on ‘how to use a computer/technology tools’ with very little impact on classroom practice at scale. What is more alarming is that according to a recent Foundation of Youth Australia study, only 1 in 10 teachers have participated in professional learning aimed at upskilling and building capacity to design curriculum that explicitly helps build future work skills in students.
As a Curriculum Innovation Specialist I bring a unique skill set and experience as a Primary and Secondary school teacher and leader, Microsoft Master Trainer, ICT Peer Coach and 21st Century Learning Design Framework Consultant. In 2013 I began supporting schools nationally with 1:1/BYOD strategic planning, technology integration and curriculum coaching across all education sectors. Along with working closely with schools nationally, I have also had the opportunity to speak as a Keynote Presenter at the Criterion Digital Technologies Conference, Melbourne, WA Education Summit Perth, MIE HUI New Zeal and shared experiences as an EduTech Guest Panelist in Brisbane. I have hosted STE(A)M Immersive Learning for teachers at Independent Schools Victoria, Facilitated workshops for Victorian Secondary School Principals on Appraisal and Digital Transformation and certified hundreds of educators in ICT Peer Coaching and the Microsoft 21st Century Learning Design framework. |
